Me and My Shadow

Madeleine at the sugar bush, walking along the trail in search of maple syrup.

A couple of months ago, we went through a very trying phase with Madeleine because she was scared of her shadow! As you can imagine, any trips in the sunlight became a big problem. Time and time again she would try to outrun her shadow or beg to be picked up when she realized it was still there. Although it was quite amusing to my husband and I, (we never let on to her of course, she was terrified...) I did breathe a huge sigh of relief once we got through that phase...especially with the nice weather coming!! LOL! I'm sure that she will laugh when she's older and we tell her the story!

This layout was inspired by RachelUK who had the brilliant idea to use the border punch in a very unique way http://www.scrapbook.com/galleries/246259/view/2100973/-1/0/1.html and by MyStyle http://www.scrapbook.com/galleries/195175/view/2120131/-1/0/1.html who finally gave me an idea on how to use this paper! I loved the inking that she did around the edge and so I borrowed the idea! The corner flourishes are part of a doily that I cut up and inked.
