Hey - I only just saw my name here in your description, and I'm really chuffed that you should mention me - thank you so much! I am continually on the look out for how to use those border punches and work in the corners! My latest try involved cutting a freehand scallop round the corner!! This is a beautiful lo, and I love the story behind it (reminds me a little of Peter Pan and his shadow too!)
Pretty LO & the story is so funny. Gracie had some strange fears when she was young so I can imagine how hard it would be to be scared of your shadow, thank goodness she has grown out of it.
Love all your punching & great use of doilies!!
This is absolutely adorable! i love the colors and the flowers and the cute pic!! I was just teaching my 3 yr DGD about her shadow last week!!! its a tough one for them to understand!!
This is really awesome! I love the picture! The shades of blue with pinks are very striking! I love the wonderful punched edges too! Very pretty! tfs ;)
What a sweet, charming and funny story - how cute!! Your colours are exquisite, as are the splendid flowers (love how you make those flowers). Your details are so perfect, charming and so wonderful!! This LO is truly delightful and gorgeous! I love everything about it!!!
Wow, just gorgeous. Love the title. Just perfect for this cute photo. Really enjoyed your description. You should include that in some hidden journaling, if you didn't already. That's a great story. The LO is so pretty. Love the colors and the cool way you did the borders and the framing of the pic. The doodling on the title is so cute.
This is so cool. I love the colors.. The layering and the way you used the border punch on the little strips by the photo. I had to laugh at the story.. I am sure the fear was very real to her but I can surely see how it would have been rather amusing.
Great job on this! I LOVE the butterflies!!! Your punched borders look simply fabulous...and the inking in perfection! I also love the way you did the large "photo corner" with the border punch...great idea...and very liftable! LOL!!! Awesome layout!
Madeleine at the sugar bush, walking along the trail in search of maple syrup.
A couple of months ago, we went through a very trying phase with Madeleine because she was scared of her shadow! As you can imagine, any trips in the sunlight became a big problem. Time and time again she would try to outrun her shadow or beg to be picked up when she realized it was still there. Although it was quite amusing to my husband and I, (we never let on to her of course, she was terrified...) I did breathe a huge sigh of relief once we got through that phase...especially with the nice weather coming!! LOL! I'm sure that she will laugh when she's older and we tell her the story!
