she is brave to sit and be photographed. The natural squirrel in England is red and I have seen them a few times but the North American grey squirrel imported into England has caused most of the them to die by taking their habitat. there is a big campaign to try and address the problem. they are still in the North of England and Scotland and they are hoping for recovery.
very cute - fun to watch - but at the moment - I'm a little upset with the one that is snitching from my bird feeder. I don't normally put out seed in spring, but I was wanting to keep the birds coming, and now the squirrel has decided to raid it.
You are a hoot naming this cutie after your squirrely neighbor! (I won't tell) LOL!
What a wonderful shot! I hope she brings her babies for a visit too! They are the cutest little creatures to watch :-)
OMGosh, Marlys is the cutest, sweetest little squirrel!!! Love the way her tail is arched!! I do hope you can get a shot of her wee ones!! This is an absolutely outstanding shot, it needs to be in a nature magazine!!! TFS!
This tiny Red Squirrel lives by our cabin. She is quite brave and comes close to "steal" the peanuts and sunflowers and other things I put out for her. I am glad because she is a Mama and I am hoping she will bring the babies to visit when they get a little bigger. We named her Marlys after a "squirrely" neighbor. Please don't tell her, LOL
