Love how you printed the map for your bg paper! I also like the idea of putting the brochure on the outside of the page protector using the magnetic snaps...okay if I "lift" that idea for future travel pages?
These photos are from our Aug. '06 Virginia vacation.
The pamphlet describing the National Park is mounted on the outside of the page protector with adhesive and held closed by a magnetic snap. There is one small strip of adhesive along one vertical edge of the back since when it's open, there is printing on both sides that you would want to be able to see. The bottom of the snap is on the pp, and the top is under the top layer of the pamphlet. That way, it can be easily opened to look at without taking the page out of the album, but it doesn't flop open everytime you open the album. There is a detail shot in my gallery. Also, I made a reduced copy of a smaller map they gave us so that I could fit it on the LO. I copied it onto beige cs and then 'dirtied' it up w/ ink. The large map in the bg is just a piece of K & Company 12x12 pp that I tore and inked. The journaling about this day is on the 'Jamestown Settlement' LO.
