Just before he plunged the knife into his son, Abraham saw a ram in the thicket, caught by his horns - "and a new age of trusting the Lord was born." This is where Abraham first called GOD "Jehovah Jireh" -- The Lord Who Provides. This sacrificial ram was representative of the Lamb of GOD, Jesus Christ, who willingly sacrificed Himself as payment for our sins...
