After doing all distressed and aged pp's for Williamsburg and antique-y, old world looking pp's for Jamestown, I decided to go Patriotic for Yorktown. Originally, I thought I would have to make this into 2 pages because there was too much for one page because of the pamphlets, but I didn't really have enough for 2 separate pages (and I just want to be finished with this vacation already!!) so I went with a pocket instead. I've never done one before, and I like the way it turned out.

This is for the VLB Challenge to use stars and for the Use Your Scraps Challenge. Everything here is from scraps -- the 12x12 cardstock I used to mount everything on is even a piece I used to protect my table while inking. The title is done w/ letters from an alphabet that has no a's or e's left so I was limited to 'Yorktown' as my title -- LOL! The only things that weren't leftovers are the brads.

The stars say:
Date: August 28, 06 Where we went today:
AM: Yorktown Victory Center
PM: Yorktown Battlefield Tour

Captions: Artillery Demonstration
Redoubt 10 - Its capture helped force the British surrender.
Moore House - Site of the negotiations for Cornwallis' surrender.
