great layout! nice work on the french knots...and the buttons..love the buttons, i was kind of looking forward to individual pics of the buttons! hehehehe
OMG!! This is fabulous!! The fact that you didn't even you a stitching template, WoW!! I am going to have to try that, it looks fabulous! Beautiful family!!
Wow! You did a spectacular job on the stitching. Love your "flowers" I've done candlewicking but never thought to use it on pages. Great idea to use the colors in the striped paper. Fantastic page.
Christine.......AWESOME! I love your stitching. Am impressied that you did it without a template! YOU GO GIRLFRIEND. I could never ever do a french knot. I tried hard when I was into cross stitching. You did it perfect. Love the picture. Love the buttons. Love everything!
OK! so i am now "stitch happy" but i dont have one of those fancy dancy templates--so what i do is draw out my own on the other side of the paper and then punch the holes--and then go back and sew--the little "flowers" are just french knots in the colors of the stripes of the paper -and of course i sew my buttons on--and i even ventured out on this one to use the sewing machine to do around the edge.
This was also the very FIRST page I have done that i spent more than a day on.
This is a picture of our last thanksgiving at my mom and dads house in 2007. Mom said she just cant do it anymore--just to much. here is mom and dad with jamie and josh
