Some photos of my dsil on deployment day. It was an emotional day for all of us. I'm not sure if you can see him in the smaller photos but they are of him looking out of the bus window and waving as the bus is pulling out. I printed the poem too light but here it is

HUSBAND DEPARTURE DAY

THE DAY OF YOUR DEPARTURE
I KNEW IT WAS GOING TO BE TORTURE.
KNOWING THAT I WILL BE MISSING YOU
I DIDN'T' WANT YOU TO BE SO BLUE.
AS I HOLD BACK MY TEARS OF SORROW
I'M TRYING TO HIDE MY FEAR OF TOMORROW.
WHILE I HOLD YOU IN MY ARMS
I'M PRAYING YOU WILL COME TO NO HARM.
WE EMBRACE FOR OUR LAST KISS
KNOWING IT WILL BE MISSED.
WHEN WE HEARD THE FINAL CALL
I RAISED MY HEAD AND STOOD TALL.
AS YOU CLIMB THOSE FINAL STEPS
AND WAVE GOODBYE
I BOW MY HEAD AND CRIED
AS I WATCH YOU GO BY........
