Still plugging away at our Aug. '06 Virginia vacation. Journaling here is in the form of a list of captions:
Aug. 28
Lunch @ Nick's Riverwalk Restaurant.
Checking out the 105 ft. schooner Alliance.
Wading in the York River.
Posing with some Patriots.

This is for:
1. Scrap Your Vacations - Week 1: The LO had to be at least 50% hot pink -- I don't know if this one is technically 50%, but it's overall impression is pink, I think. The twist was to stitch in lime green -- I did a modified blanket stitch around the outside and some flourishes - all in lime green.

2. June Use Your Scraps: Everything here is scrap except the hot pink bg (only a 1/4'' border shows) which is left over from all my Avon Walk pages, the gem flower, and the butterflies. The flowers are from a huge pack that I've already used numerous times. The little punched borders are from paper scraps from the Avon LO's. The pp is a big scrap that my dd had just cut a narrow strip off for something she made for school. Same w/ the mat pp's. The letters are from an alphabet I've used before. All my floss is leftover from who knows what cross-stitch project. I included the twist - 2 of them actually - to have water in the photo (York River), and also, to include a father in a photo -- that's my husband walking w/ my daughter in the photo w/ the ship.

This may go in the June Flower Challenge as well since the twist this month is to use just one big flower. Possibly some others too! TFL!
