I used shimmery cardstock that coordinated with my daughters 1st birthday party cupcake theme to make these cupcake stands. I covered toilet paper rolls to make the pillars, and used the same cardstock to make the trim for each cardboard tier, and then threw a few cupcake stickers on it. I cut the length of the cardstock longer than the toilet paper rolls, and then cut and fanned out the excess cardstock and glued them underneath each tier so it would be more stable. Pretty easy to do once I figured out all the physics of holding up cake with cardboard and paper!
