This is outstanding! It feels vintage and masculine at the same time -- usually I think of vintage as kinda flowery. Love the inclusion of the patriotic music. Wonderful photos!
This is magnificent!I'd say you win all 3 challenges with this!I've been so stuck on my dad's WWII los,and your beautiful page has totally inspired me!I may have to lift this!(smile)Well done!
This is really wonderful. Love the pps and the border around the photos that looks like the old fashioned photos..(deckled?) I love the quote and want to use it in a layout for my dad...it fits him too.
This is fantastic - love the papers you chose, how you added the clocks, used a wrinkled song sheet, and of course, the photos are wonderful! Great quote too!!! :>)
wow a great page! who would have known it was all done from scraps? i love everything you chose to go with the photos, especially the quote! the picture are great!
Fathers' Day must be around the corner! I'm seeing lots of Dad layouts and this one is special! I love that black down the middle. I thought it was a big ribbon, but after zooming, it must be paper. Anyway, it's a great look! Love those old photos and what a good-looking Dad!
Wonderful layout about Daddy!!! LOVE the pics...I'm sure I have them somewhere! The G45 papers are so perfect for this...very vintage and masculine! I LOVE that quote and I'm sure I'll find somewhere to use it, too! LOL!!! Awesome work!!!
I just love those photos of Grandpa and you did an awesome job scrapping them!! Love the pp's you used with them- great job using up your scraps! This is such a wonderful masculine vintage-y page! Straight to my faves!
This is my father when he was in the army back in World War II - I know the large profile photo was taken in Germany, but I'm not sure where the others were taken, but they were taken between 1942-1945. Quote reads: My father didn't tell me how to live; he lived, and let me watch him do it. - C.B. Kelland.
PPs are all from my scraps, some are Graphic 45. The rub on lettering is some that was left over from a page that Sarah, my dd, did. The bg sheet was even a leftover of a sort - I had inked it to do another layout and then didn't like how it turned out - so it's just been sitting on the shelf for about a year - waiting! LOL! The flourish was handcut using a flourish from Fancy Pants Flourishes for the pattern. The clocks are also handcut from a scrap of G45 pp.
This is for the June Use Your Scraps Challenge, the June Military Challenge, and the June Vintage Challenge.
