This is probably one of the more simple LO I've done. I really wanted the focus to be on the Nightingale Pledge. This is from my capping and pinning ceremony March 20, 2008. The cap, nurses dress, clipboard, and stethoscope are all stickers from Jolee's Boutique. I added the green stripe on the cap to match my cap in my picture. Underneath the picture of me being pinned, I recreated my nursing pin. It isn't exactly like it, but close. On my clipboard I wrote nurses notes for a pneumonia patient. The pledge is in the bottom corner, printed of the computer (thanks to my MIL). I used a border punch and then weave thread through the holes for the bow. The pledge reads:
"I solemnly pledge myself before God and in the presence of this assembly, to pass my life in purity and to practice my profession faithfully. I will abstain from whatever is deleterious and mischievous, and will not take or knowingly administer any harmful drug. I will do all in my power to maintain and elevate the standard of my profession, and will hold in confidence all personal matters committed to my keeping and all family affairs coming to my knowledge in the practice of my calling. With loyalty will I endeavor to aid the physician, in his work, and devote myself to the welfare of those committed to my care."
