This is a page done for my friend Patti Poo's school challenge for the Leopard Lounge Ladies.
I'm the one in the red Dirndl Dress a traditional dress for Germany. Oh thank you Mum for that.....
The badge isn't a school one its my Dad's Army regiment, he was in the Signals.

Have a very best lifelong friend who you have known for less than a few years.
Have to explain that being born in Germany does not make you German.
And no we didn't go to German schools, there were British schools on camp.
Have forgotten how to speak more languages than most people ever learn.
Haven't seen your best friend since the last time Dad was posted.
Inexplicably have the urge to move to a new place every year for no reason at all.
Keep bumping into people all over the world who know friends that you haven't seen in years.
Left school or NAAFI frequently for bomb scares.
Have siblings who were born in various foreign lands.
Name schools in three countries on two continents when asked what senior school you attended.
Never quite finished decorating your place because you knew you'd be moving soon.
Start a major portion of your conversations with "when I was in. . .
Tell everyone you are from a place that you haven't lived in since you were 3 years old.
Find that the oldest friend you have is from your senior year of high school.
Thought vacations meant going back to the UK to visit the grandparents.
Wondered who your new best friend would be as you enroll in yet another school.
This was tough, and I guess I will try again but for now I can say I have a page done for my time at Grenville School Celle Germany
