After graduating from Penn State last year, my DD Courtney was to start Rutgers or Fordham Law. Instead, she decided to delay her goal to become a Teach For America Core Member. This commitment is for 2 years. She will start law school in the fall of 2010. In the meantime, thanks to TFA she is getting her masters free of charge. Courtney is ending her 1st year of teaching and is loving it. She teaches a 5th grade class at public school in the Bronx. She loves giving back to her community. She feels she wants to encourage her students to DREAM big and shoot for the stars. Courtney asked me to create 15 (8 girls & 7 boys) cards for her students that she could present to them at their graduation next week. I have visited her class several times this year and got to know her kids pretty well. So I was happy to make the cards. The school colors are blue and white. The cards with the clouds and dragonflies are for the girls. I used the cloud of a previous project to ink the cards for the boys. Thanks for looking!!!
