Downsview subway station is the last stop on the Spadina line. It is located on Sheppard Ave West and is the only subway stop that is not connected to the Sheppard subway line. It gets its name from the community's old name. Nearby is Downsview Park which hosted “World Youth Day Papal Visit” in 2002 and “SARSstock” concert in 2003. You can also visit the Canadian Air & Space Museum.
On December 17, 2017 the TTC opened a new subway station going northbound. Downsview is no longer the last stop. In addition Downsview subway station was renamed Sheppard West. The reason for this was that the next subway stop is called Downsview Park.
