this is for the FEBULY week 6 challenge. Music inspired. Pick a song title and incorporate lyrics in the journaling. I used "just a girl" by NO Doubt
I decided to start a BOM, but I am still not sure if this should be the 1st or last page of the book. Haven't decided yet. This is a pic. of myself, just 2 1/2 years ago, about 6 months or so before I found out I was pregnant. I can't believe how completely different a person I am now in just that short amount of time. Every time I look at this pic. I am amazed on how I have grown. Having a child changes your priorities in life, (I'm sure most of us will agree) That is why I decided to do a BOM.
Journaling reads: "Take this pink ribbon off my eyes"
I chose those lyrics b/c before I had my son I was very "women's lib", very independent. I didn't like being taken lightly just b/c I was a "girl" I felt women can do anything a man can do, and probably better. I was very strong headed and determined. Don't get me wrong, I still feel the same way, but after my son was born, I realized, I love being a mommy more than I thought I would, and everything that comes with the mommy territory. I love being a homemaker!! (tell me that 2 years ago and I would have laughed at you!!) =)
