SHCG: This is very pretty... you used some great recycled materials! The lemonade label flower is awesome and I can totally see the can tabs becoming a sbing staple. I like how the letters of beauty are just outlined to let the image below show. Great job!
SHCG: WTG on the recycling. I REALLY like everything but the split word beauty. I just can't help seeing the name Bea. Now if her name is Bea than kudos to you. But otherwise I would have rather seen the word on one line. And the photo is truely breathtaking.
SHCG - This is eco-groovy, Brian! Love the palette & how it coordinates w/ the great pic. The lemonade label flower ROCKS, very cool! (You inspired me to do SOMETHING someday to the Annie's mac & cheese box I kept 'cuz I like the bunny pic on it...). Use of the soda tabs is way clever too. I can't help but wonder what it would look like if you cut the "Beauty" piece so that it reads left to right (then rearrange the pic/flower to accommodate the word going across the page)... having "beauty" on 2 lines kind of makes the upper left corner very heavy for me. Regardless, fantastic work & incredible idea to use non-scrap materials!
SHCG: OMG, those soda tabs... genius! The bird pp is so pretty and a nice way to recycle a greeting card. Love the way you fashioned the lemonade label, and how sugar and pink are prominently shown, almost as if alluding to the sweetness of your subject. If I'm seeing correctly, I notice this photo is from '94 which is why it concerns me that you used a Sharpie if you were hoping to preserve it for years to come. This trashy lo is a treasure, Brian.
This is very very cool (and I think your trash is more interesting than mine, frankly, LOL!) I like the idea of using everyday "scraps". The soda tabs are awesome.
The only craft supplies I used on this layout were 4 brads, a sharpie, and an orange ink pad. Everything else is trash of some sort. I used a manila envelope, a green file folder, 2 bookmarks, 3 soda tabs, 1 label from sugar free lemonade, 1 greeting card, and the paper from a frame.
