This is Cassie's portrait for this year in Accelerated Ballet 3. I just got them last Saturday, and I couldn't wait to get one done! I have 3 other dance portraits from her other classes this year yet to do. You'll be seeing this costume a lot because I have about a billion pics to scrap from dress rehearsals, back stage, etc! They danced to the Marche from Giselle. The red punched mat is actually a faux suede paper from Stampin' Up! that I got at a garage sale. It's really rich and gorgeous IRL. Come to think of it -- I must just be drawn to them for ballet pictures because I used some of the navy blue faux suede in my 'ballerina girl' lo a couple months ago. HMM. Also, it's hard to see in the photo, but there is another strip of black flocked paper under the right edge of the photo that is punched w/ the same punch and offset from the red for a very lacy effect.
This is for a few challenges:
1. ABC Challenge - WXYZ Round.
W - White: BG must be white.
X - eXtra bling: gems, glitter, stickles! If you are wondering if you used enough, better use some more! I have the Prima bling, Stickles on various flowers, gem centers for some, sequin and glass seed beads centers for some, and 2 of my fibers have sparkle to them. Also, my bg paper has an iridescent sheen to it.
Y - Yarn or fiber: I have 3 different fibers running up the side.
Z - Zig Zag: I have the ric rack along the bottom.
2. Got to Love Those Flowers. I have 14 flowers, and I did the twist to have one big flower.
3. Febuly - Week 18: Numbers. We just had to use up some number stickers from our alphas on the LO. I have the little '3' and '2009.'

I'm having a hard time photographing this one -- the first one was too dark to see detail - this one is a little washed out, but I think it's better overall. Also, IRL the ricrack is straight -- the photo cropped a little crooked.
