Flood-swollen Chattahoochee in Helen, GA was a wild ride July 4th of 2003. You were at the mercy of the swirling rapids: some got bumped, or stuck on rocks, or dumped into the river. Some even bailed out halfway (see colored rafts on the bank) Employees were in the river tied with ropes to help catch us at the end of the journey. The tied scroll rolls down to journalize my once-in-a-lifetime encounter with that wild river ride.
