I just got loads of ideas from this LO! I love the colors; the border design on what I believe to be your hidden journaling; the doodled grids; the giant baseball brad... A favorite for sure!
I love the doodling!! Great photos!! Your journaling is great! I think that is how most little ones are when they first start playing! I can't wait for Ben to be big enough. He sure likes anything with balls.. soccer, basketball, softball.
Ah, these pps look very familiar - Hehe! Very cute - love these pps, obviously! Cute pic of Jacob - love the torn border and the punched borders and doodling! Cute page1
This layout is adorable!!! Great and creative title work and the journaling is a hoot. I used to watch the teeny kids play soccer (bunch=y ball cuz they'd all run in a bunch). Anyway tfs.
Oh this is so cute, love how you did the title and how clever using the brad for the ball. If my layouts would turn out like this and I was struggling I would be oh so happy. great layout. to my favs.
adorable layout with great journaling as always :o) sounds exactly like my son's 3-4 year old t-ball team....a few times my son (3 at the time) would just decide he wasn't going to run anymore and I would pick him up and run the bases LOL, what a mess....we decided to wait it out this year and try again next year :o) - great memories! :o)
Oh, Susan, what truly cute journaling! This LO is perfect! Love that gorgeous photo of little Jacob (my, those eyes are heavenly) and the group photo is great. Love the marvelous design, too! You've created such a wonderful LO which will evoke such sweet memories in years to come. You say you lost you mojo? Don't think so, my friend!!
Hey, we all lose our mojo from time to time, but this layout gives absolutely NO hint of that! Love the brad that you made into a baseball; brilliant and so adorable!! Love your grid doodling and the torn edge of the paper...those have got to be the bluest eyes I've ever seen (apart from my dh's)! What a fantastic pic and the handwriting is gorgeous! Love the whole thing...mojo, smojo!!
This was Jacob's first year playing t-ball (for 4 year olds). I seem to have lost my scrapping mojo, cause I have certainly struggled with the last two layouts! ~~sigh~~ Maybe it'll come back soon! The black border I added in PSE...the layout is just on white cardstock. I doodled the grids in opposing corners. I cut the shaped border with a Fiskars edge punch. The baseball in the word "ball" is actually a large white brad that I drew "stitching" on with a slick writer pen. Panthers 2009 was handwritten. Journaling is tucked behind the group shot and reads:
This was your first year playing t-ball. You guys were so cute! I couldn’t help but laugh when you were playing the catcher position…only you spent the inning drawing pictures in the dirt. The children on the field were funny too. Whenever a ball was hit to the outfield, EVERYONE on the team would race to the ball, then fight over it! Some players would try to run the bases backwards! At one game, the ball was hit to the shortstop and the little guy running the bases, stopped, picked up the ball and gave it to the shortstop! Whenever it was your turn to bat, you would hit the ball, and then watch it to see where it was going instead of running to first base! Every game, you couldn’t wait to see what was for “snack” when the game was over. I think, perhaps, this was your favorite part of the game!
