Mt Hood in Oregon

6-26-09...Mt Hood...This mountain is in Oregon but I see it everyday from my back deck. It is about 50-60 miles away "as the crow flies". If you look closely , you will see a white letter "G" in the hillside. The "G" is for the town I live in. It is made out of old tires that are painted white. Every year the Sr class trudges up the hill to put a fresh coat of paint on it. I have no idea how this tradition was started. [P6260074]
