Terry and I went and hiked the Grand Canyon on an MWR trip a few months after we were married, but my mom had never seen it before. The Grand Canyon is one of those things that everyone needs to see at least once in their lifetime so since we were driving near there on our trek to move from San Diego to Chicago, we decided to stop. We parked the car outside the park and took the bus up to the rim. I was once again stunned by the amazing magnitude and beauty of the canyon. God truly created a masterpiece when he made this vast cavern in the Earth. The colors are gorgeous…reds, browns, oranges, tans with a splash of green. We visited for a couple hours taking the tram to various spots along the rim taking pictures. Because of the rocky paths, we decided it would be easier if we did not have to deal with the stroller, but as Kadence grew tired and fell asleep we had to rethink that as she was very heavy to carry! We timed our trip perfectly, because the clouds began to roll in and just as we were pulling out of the parking lot it started to rain. What a wonderful little break from the drive and a fabulous experience to have shared with all three generations!
