I haven't yet determine whether I'll mess with the actual title page or not...probably! But the prelim pages are about the author...the caption at the bottom is taken from the book's jacket and reads: "Willa Gibbs' years of experience as a newspaper woman probably gave her that passion for research and accurate detail which is the basis for her historically authentic novels." LOL. So, you can see the newspaper theme here. The PP is "Bright Meadow Woodcuts and Text Flat" (K & Co). I applied some Rhonna Farrer swirl stamps with moss green chalk ink, punched out some flowers (one is from a Jan. 20, 2009 newspaper--which is the last time I bought an actual newspaper). The lady at the bottom is from a 1999 Mary Worth comic strip---those characters always look stuck in the 50s to me.
