So last year in august the Tall Ship Races were held in my city/ town.
I live at the absolute north point of Holland.. we have sea in 3 directions.. north, east and west.. and a big big harbour. Navy of HOlland is situated here..
there is a big recreational harbour and a fishing harbour.
Anyways.. last year there were about 70 tall ships from all over the world in our harbour.. for the yearly race...
it was SOOOO cool.. it doesn't show on the pictures but these ships were HUGE!!!
Of course my kids played pirates of the caribean for 3 full days.. and tbh.. Amber was welcomed so extremely sweet on the mexican ship!
Very sweet and polite people and everything was SOOOO well kept.. I was deeply impressed.. this was the best ship of the entire fleet.
anyways..
Amber with her brown eyes and almost white hair.. was quite the "spectacle" for them.. so she got lifted on board and treated like a princess every time she passed (needless to say she wanted to pass about 20 times a day) We were quite sad the day they left.. but it was AWESOME to stand on the dike and watch the parade..
I tried to give the layout a total overlook like a sail with mast
