Very precious. I am a mother and all these special moments are so precious. They are slipping away from me too fast. I'm glad to hear I may have a second "glance".
Beautiful!! Love these pp's- soo pretty! The tearing looks great! Love the pics and your sweet journaling! Your little hand cut flowers are the perfect addition to this LO!
I love this....it's simply adorable and your journaling is wonderful. Gorgeous pps and design. It makes me want grandchildren..some of my friends were already having grandkids when I was just starting my family (I was 38 and 42)so I hope by the time we're blessed I'm still young enough to roll down hills with them.
Ok, I have tears in my eyes reading your journaling! I waited so long to have children - I was 37 when I had my oldest daughter and adopted my younger daughter when I was ___!!! So this message rings true to me in so many ways! Thanks so much for shairng!!!!!
Well, this is just lovely. The journaling is so sweet and heartwarming. I am a Mom of 2 little boys and your writing reminds me to stop and enjoy! I love your design here with the torn and inked edges that almost look burned. That circle embellie is so cute. I really like the pp used for the matting. It draws your eyes right into those great photos.
Beautiful journaling as always Susan and you can see by the glow on your face that you just adore being their grandmother!! Super cute page! I'm loving the titlework with the white accents!
Fantastic! Your journaling is priceless and so true for grandparents - I wish my ds's and dil's would get busy and give me some grandchildren!!!!! (LOL). Really like the papers and embellies that you used. :>)))
SO very pretty! The color combo on those pp's is amazing... I may have to rethink them. And I love the pics of you with your grandkids. Awesome LO. Lovely.
Enjoy looking at all the beautiful details, esp. your doodling. Terrific journaling that really expresses what most of us "grands" experience but can't say/write it so beautifully!
Susan, your journaling makes me want to cry. It's so true!!!!! I am so deeply in love with my grands because I guess i don't take their time with me for granted like I did my children. Plus I'm not with them 24/7 so they're not on my last nerve. I 'm going to copy your journaling for a page to my grands and swear it's all me. LOL!!! JK . It's gorgeous though. The Lo is so beautiful. I can't say I'm a fan of the Everlasting paper , but you made it work so beautifully here.
OMG, Susan, you always write such amazing and heartfelt journaling, I always enjoy reading it! You have such a talent for writing your thoughts; how lucky that your grandchildren will have the opportunity to read it and cherish it. Your photos are just splendid and so precious. Your design and pp's are perfect - what can I say - you've created yet another masterpiece! Love it all! Fave! ...now I can't wait to be a grandma!!
Lovely quote. How BLESSED you are....still here to love and spend time with grandchildren. It is wonderful that you enjoy the 'little things', and have documented your affection on such a sweet page. I especially like the fiber and 'cherish' tag. Great inking an torn edges. I hope to be a gramdmother some day...not rushing it, but I will love it!! :)
Beautiful...love your touching journaling and I know exactly what you mean..I am not a grandmother yet but I am experiencing everything all over again with my little niece! Love those beautiful papers!
absolutely delightful! always enjoy reading your journaling so much! what a wonderful layout! and great photos! very obvious your heart is in those photos :o) great papers for this!
Beautiful, love your journalling, and yes the time does go by so quickly. I guess when you are a grandmother you have more time to cherish them than when you are a mum, always running around getting things done... if only we knew to slow down and take the time to enjoy those little things.
Me with five of my DGC - Katie, Adam, Jacob, Allen, and Helen Grace. The photo of me with Adam and Katie was made in October 2008 and the one of me with Jacob, Allen and Helen Grace was made in January 2009. I used CC papers - Everlasting. The tag is a Tim Holtz tag that I printed a quote on, the circle pic with the children is one of the cardstock stickers with the Everlasting paper. I used brown ribbon and the flowers were cut from piece of Pink Paislee paper. The title is a rubon. I inked the edges of the torn edges and around the journaling. Added a brown satin ribbon and the metal embellie says "cherish" and is tied around the photo mat with orange floss. I added some white doodling around the edges of the orange mat and on the title letters, and some dark brown faux stitching on the edges of the orange and white print paper. The quote on the ticket stub says "Grandparents and grandchildren are God's gift to each other." Journaling reads:
Time goes by so quickly. It seems like yesterday that I was a young mother with three small children, and now I’m a grandmother who has been blessed many times over with beautiful grandchildren. I’ve learned that a mother of young children doesn’t always appreciate the little things – and then it seems that suddenly, the children are grown. Grandchildren give grandmothers a chance to remember simple pleasures that we have forgotten. I’d forgotten - the wonderful gift a wilted flower is when presented with sweet grimy little hands, kool-aid smiles, wrinkled little hands and feet (from playing in the pool for hours), the joy on your faces when you play with bubbles and chase the bubbles across the yard, the giggles and laughter when you roll down the hill and encourage me to roll with you, and most of all, the sweet hugs and kisses that you so freely give to me. Thank you for sharing with me so much of what I had forgotten.
This is for a couple of challenges. Thanks so much for stopping by! :D
