What a sad story God bless Cydney, and the woman who gave you that beautiful yellow rose. Now every time I see a yellow I will think of Cydney and smile!!!!
It's Friday, time for a heritage page in our Flashback Friday group. Today's challenge was to write a letter to someone you never met. I cheated a little because this only goes back 13 years, but it is definitely something I wanted to put in my heritage album to have my kids see. I chose to write a letter to one of the babies I lost through a miscarriage. Here's my letter: "My dearest Cydney: I really thought I would hold you in my arms some day. Your father and I had been all through the tests. We were given the okay to conceive, and we were thrilled when we found out you were in my tummy. At 7 weeks 2 days, we had an ultrasound and I saw your little heart just beating so strongly. I can not describe how relieved and how thrilled I was to see you alive and well, especially after all the babies before you that didn't even make that far. We left the doctor's office with hope. A week later, our hope was once again shattered as I started bleeding and the new ultrasound revealed that you had died just 2 days after the first ultrasound. Heartbroken does not begin to describe how we felt. As I went into the hospital for surgery to remove your lifeless being from me, I was empty, devastated and wondering why. When I awoke in the recovery room, the nurse greeted me with a single yellow rose for my loss. That was the first time that had happened. Today, every time I see a yellow rose, I think about you. I will see you again, dear Cydney, in Heaven, and we will never part then. 1996"
