I think the layout is gorgeous, and I love the stitched flourishes. I OFTEN start and layout and then it takes off into a totally different direction than I had originally envisioned.
I love it! You did a great job here Patti. The butterfly is so pretty, and you're right - the background pps are perfect for the photos. Congrats on being a proud auntie of two very bright young women!
FABULOUS!!!!!! This is gorgeous!!!!! what do you mean your not sure you like it!!! I'ts amazing. All the details are splendid. Splendid? Did you hear that? i don't say splendid. LOL!!!!
I love the place this layout ended up! Your stitching is really a lovely touch, and the design and elements are lovely. Great journaling too. Congrats to you auntie!
I recently had someone approach me about teaching them to scrapbook and I experienced pure panic because I never know when I begin a layout where it is going to go. The more I "think" about it and try to plan, the less I like the finished product. My best pages are the ones that designed themselves with me just doing the hand work, if that makes any sense at all. And they have also been the most well received here.
Patti...I LOVE the colors in this!!! Your stitching looks awesome...a beautiful layout! As far as not turning out like you envisioned...all my layouts have been that way lately! LOL!!
My friend...whats NOT to like? This is absolutely beautiful! Perfect and pretty colors. Sweet pix. And the stitching is awesome! That is a GREAT butterfly~
Have you ever done a lo that when you started you had something in mind but it doesn't quite turn out the way you envisioned? Well, that's what this one is to me....not really sure I like it, but it is what it is.
I made this lo using Kaisercraft pps from the Waterbury collection that was included in the July add-on kit from Swirlydoos along with a few other things from either this kit or previous kits such as the Thickers and the rub-ons, oh and the Pixie dust from BoBunny.
When I saw this pp I immediately knew which pics I was going to use because of the background on these photos of my nieces.....they matched perfectly.
This is my entry for the Butterfly challenge where we had to make our own butterfly. I used the Indie Art cart using the base and shadow function then added pop-dots between the two for a 3-d effect. I added the Pixie dust as an outline and on the body. I used the Parisian punch from EK Success and doodled with black puffy paint.
These are my 2 neices who are not only very sweet girls, but also extremely smart and I'm very proud of their accomplishments. These are a couple of school pics taken around 2000, not quite sure, but they are now both college grads and on their way to what I expect, without a doubt will be very successful careers and I'm proud to be their aunt!
