This is a layout of DH. I had the pics and paper picked out for a few weeks before deciding what to do with them. After reading an article about comparing and contrasting layouts in Scrapbooks etc. this month, I decided to contrast DH's serious and silly sides. Page 1 is matched, lined up, uses typed font, and list all his practical traits, while page 2 is more patterned, scattered, off-centered, has hand-written journalling, and lists his creative traits.
Page 1:
The owl was made on my slice. I made two copies of the same owl to cut out the wings in the contrasting print, and I cut off the legs that came on the owl and replaced them with twine. Added googly eyes and an orange beak. The heart is also from the Just Chillin card. The rub-on by the owl says "what I love about you" Journalling lined up with brads for bullets reads:
Analytical, wise, dependable, domestic, loyal, dedicated, practical, loving.
Page 2:
rub-on says "be original"
Journalling style was inspired by a tutorial at the Creative Ruminations blog. It reads:
fun, art-istic, wacky, dancing, laugh, creative, passionate, loving.
Loving is on both lists because I thought it was both a practical and creative trait.
