This lo is of my very own scrapbooking space. I told my hubby that this was all I wanted for Christmas. It was done a month before Christmas. Am I lucky or what?

The poem is a remake of Twas a Night Before Christmas. It reads:

Twas the month before Christmas, when all through the house
Not a creature was stirring, ‘cept someone redrawing the house;
The ribbons were hung around without care,
I was just hoping Charlie would be of good cheer.

The children were nestled all snug in their beds,
While visions of scrapbooks danced in my head,
And Trey in his crate, and Taco in his lap,
Had just settled down for a long winter's nap.

During the days that followed there arose such a clatter,
I came running from the kitchen to see what was the matter.
Away were the bookcases, gone was the stash,
Torn open were boxes, assembled in a flash.

The under cabinet lighting on the surface below,
Would give me more light, now I can sew.
When, what to my wondering eyes should appear,
But my own scrapbooking place, my own space so dear.

With a row of cabinets and a 10 foot table top,
I knew in a moment I wouldn’t be stopped.
More rapid than eagles my coursers they came,
And I whistled, and shouted, and called him by name!
“Oh , Charlie! Oh, babe!
Oh, wow and alright!
That’s fabulous, look at this, this is out of sight.”

He was dressed in jean shorts, a fishing shirt on his back,
And his clothes were all covered with wood glue, this and that.
A bundle of tools he had flung on the floor,
And he looked so adorable, I couldn’t ask for more.

His eyes-how they love me! His hair all a mess!
His feet always moving, never stopping to rest.
His beautiful lips were drawn up like a bow,
His chest full of pride, only I would know.

He spoke not a word, but went straight to his work,
And filled his bags with tools, then turned with a jerk.
And lying his tools inside the room door,
And giving a nod, looked down at the floor.

He sprang to the sofa, flipped on the tv,
And away to slumber he flew with quickness I envy.
But I heard him exclaim, ‘ere he was down for the night,
“Merry Christmas Lite, I love you, good night!”
