I just love this picture of my DD and her daddy. She was only a few days old, and already she was daddy's baby...I just wish this could have been a B&W photo.
I really like flowers, bling, borders, and flourishes, and with this pic I wanted the LO to be extra special because this is my fave pic of Melody and her daddy. At first I wanted to use the white pearl swirl bling, but I also really liked the black flourishes which actually look like a big border, so I just cut out the pieces that I wanted and used them as vines (?) I burned the striped PP and then distressed them with a sponge dauber and ink. The ribbon is just something I had, and the poem was printed from the computer so I burned the edges and then sponge dabbed them as well and I used a folded napkin and inked it and then dabbed the paper all over...But anyhoo it is one that I have submitted called "Daddy and His Lil' Girl" and it reads...
As a father looks into his daughter's eyes, all she can see is her daddy's love for her.
She may be small and she may be a baby, but she is daddy's lil' cowgirl for sure.
He says he will teach her how to ride, teach her what she needs to know.
She can only coo but when he leaves for work, she will want to say "Don't Go".
When daddy is stressed all he needs is to look into those big brown eyes and see her smile.
He knows he has her love and his heart skips a beat and jumps a mile.
Staying up to feed her and change her diapers ain't his game.
Without her though, he is lost and knows he wouldn't be the same.
She will look at him and see her very own hero, he will look at her and see his star.
Even when he is away on the hunt, his heart and his love will never be far.
She wakes up in the morning with a smile and a head full of bushy hair.
Her daddy says " Don't worry Munchkin, I'll always be there".
When She cries, she will be swept up into arms so tender and strong.
When mommy's at work, daddy will say "Hush baby, mommy won't be long".
He'll be there for every bump and scratch, and hurt with her just the same.
He'll say, "My sweet Melody, how I love your name."
In her daddy's eyes she is the reason for living, and she is his world.
Even when she grows up and has a life of her own, she will always be daddy's lil' girl.
