If you wanted to try it digitally, you could open the picture with paint and zoom in on his eyes, then color them. Zoom out again to see what it looks like, then if you don't like it, you don't have to save it or anything, and you won't have messed up your original pic. Your son is just beautiful!
Thank you all for your suggestions! Hi Leanne! Thanks for all of your comments! :) I had actually muted the background a little to make the eyes stand out more. That was before you gave me your suggestions in our pms - I'm going to try again in the next few days and see what you guys think!! :) Thanks again for your help on this, Shelstan and Leanne!! :)
I'd like to make a suggestion, if I could. This pic is so delicate and soft, that I'm not sure it is the best choice to just colorize the eyes. It seems to be a very high contrast. Have you considered desaturating the whole pic instead? In my oppinion, I think it would go well with the "feel" of the pic. But that is just my opinion. He's such a cute little guy!
I had tried to do it digitally, but I've also looked at the markers and at the paint in the store... which do you suggest - the markers or the paint? Thanks so much for your comment!
You can color in his eyes with a drawing program, or on the actual photo with marker, watercolors, chalk or pastels. Did you want to do it digitally or on the developed photo?
I think it looks darling in b&w.
This is my first attempt to upload anything. I have a new program and I tried to make the picture black and white except for my Son's eyes, but it didn't turn out like I had hoped... does anyone have any suggestions?
