SHCG: Love the colors you chose, the blue really pops off the orange. The title is great, love how you made it and your top/bottom borders are cute. Love your doodles too, very whimsical!!!
SHCG: I love the work you put into the title. It's fab and unique. I can never bring myself to go this dark of an orange, but it does make the blues in your pics really pop. Although your doodling adds more whimsy to the page, I think your signature Sharon confetti around the horseshoe pic would've sufficed. OR, to fill the space left of that pic, cut out pics of a horseshoe and a cup of coffee, maybe even with the prohibited sign around each one (aka circle with slash), because cut out pics are another signature of yours. I feel for Gregums thwarted by the for lease sign and pointing out his old apt no.
SHCG: I like your doodling... I've grown accustomed to your great handwritten journaling on each page and here it takes the place a bit... adds a little "you" to the page. Love the title effect!
shcg: I really like how you did the title on this page. The photos are wonderful. I'm not too sure my opinion on the white doodling. It kind of seems a bit out of place. Good job on this side and I like how the heaviness of all the photos on this side balance out the journaling on the other.
This is my response to my Complementary Colors Challenge for Scrap Happenzz Critique Group to use colors that oppose each other on the color wheel. This is the last photo LO from our Portland/San Fran 6/06 trip though I intend to do a pocket page to hold various memorabilia which'll go in the book after this LO. The trip was especially special because my hubby used to live in San Fran & he showed me his old haunts & 'hoods.
Those of you who already know me know that I keep travel journals that help w/ my scrapbooking journaling – hence the mega-journaling block.
Title was stamped then letters & matte were handcut. Scanning cuts off some of the edges (as usual). I LOVE that Signo White Uniball pen. Border cut w/ Fiskars Shapecutter.
Thanks to Jen for posting her fab orange & blue “Lorikeet” LO (plus her purple & green ATC); those reminded me of the challenge I had been thinking about & that it was my turn to post!
