Great layout, excellent idea with the black and white photo and the coloured one. So more I look at your layouts, so more impressed I am. Not only because you are really good, also because I get more and more respect of you.You are a wonderfull person with a big heart.
What a beautiful tribute to the love we have for our precious animals!! How touching that you did this for your friend. It made me cry, but how special for her to receive this from you! What beautiful sentiments you wrote. Thanks for sharing that with all of us :-)
What a special page.... You have brought a tear to my eye! I look at this and wonder why sometimes I want to give my puppy away. She isn't all that hard work but after running around with a two year old it does get hard to occupy both of them... This has just made me want to give her a hug and say sorry to her for thinking about it!! Thank you so much for sharing - The title is just perfect....
You have made me cry!!!!!!! Wow, what a great friend you are. And what a great layout. Love the color and b/w mixed together and the title circle and blocks. So very touching!!
another beautiful page ... I really love this one ... you made some beautiful layouts for erika! She is thrilled with them (she posted in our critique group!)
Ok so this one made me get teary eyed! I had a co-worker have to put her dog down this last December...and I loved her dog also. She called me the day before crying her eyes out asking me if I would do something for her! Shut up! I did a nice shadow box of "Duke". This is a beautiful page girl.
Your really have the special touch for the tribute to animals! WOW-I hate for this day to come! Thank you so much for sharing your gift of expressing animal human relationships.
Oh bless your heart! Talk about a lovely gesture to your friend.... it brings tears to my eyes as I can only imagine her pain in this moment caught on film. Bless her heart too!
Ok, you made me cry on this one. What a wonderful tribute to a special fur-baby lost. I just love the title...you are very creative when it comes to your titles that always draw my eyes in to read the journaling and study the details. LOVE it! You are such a sweetheart, Karen. I love your compassion and how well you express it through your creativity. Thanks for sharing, hon!
This is so beautiful!!! It makes me want to go home and hug my dog. The title makes me kinda misty eyed. This is such a great thing to make for your friend and such a great sentiment!!
Wow, that is one of the kindest, nicest, most giving layouts I've ever seen. What an incredibly beautiful thing to do for a friend. The layout is just gorgeous and wonderful in every way.
Wow, this is so unbelievably touching and such a wonderful thing you did. It's so hard to say goodbye, and this is such a beautiful tribute. I know Erika appreciated it. Thanks for sharing with all of us who know exactly what it feels like to lose someone so close. This is just breathtaking and tear making.
Oh, dear Karen....oh my, I am speechless.....you are such an angel, with one of the warmest, most genuine hearts I've ever seen in action. What a beautiful treasure you have created for Erika and Ed. She will love it! Thank you for sharing something so personal and emotional with all of us here. Hugs, M
Gosh, Karen, you choked me up. You sure have the ability to convey emotion and affection on paper....we lost our treasured kitty (my dd's first pet) last December a few days before Christmas. It really hurt. I can imagine what Erika was feeling. I really like the title, broken hearts, and pawprints. Beautiful work, as always. xxx
OMG - you write so well, Karen. What touching and heartfelt journaling; I'm speechless. You are so amazing to have created such a perfect and wonderful layout... I love it; now I want to cry.
This made me cry. And then it made me go to My Bonnie Girl page and cry again. We had to have her put to sleep a couple of months ago and .... I still miss her, and my dogs still haven't bounced back to normal yet, even though it's been 2 months now. Sooo sad, so beautiful that you did this, and I hope that beautiful letter is with the page too. (my Bonnie: http://www.scrapbook.com/galleries/20400/view/1659491/-1/80/3.html)
(Tears) You got it exactly, my friend! These LOs are priceless to me!! Your sentiments leave me speechless!!! I thank you with all my heart for taking the time to do such a wonderful thing!!!
For my dear friend, Erika. You know her here at SB.com as Elombardo19.
My dearest Erika, this is the second LO that I created for you. When you told me that this photo was one of the last pictures taken before you took Ed to the vet for the final time, I knew I wanted to scrap it for you. Thank you for allowing me to do it! I wanted to convey what I'm sure was on your heart and mind as you kissed that sweet head, "Dear Ed, please stay." The two black and broken hearts, I think are self-explanatory. I know you still grieve for this loss because Ed was such a special boy and the bond was so complete. I just wanted you to know that I get it. The pain, the guilt, the grief, the sadness, the empty feeling...it gets better yes, but it never all goes away. How happy I am that you brought Titus and now Meyer into your life! No one can take Ed's place, but how wonderful that you've made room in your heart and life for creatures that you can lavish with love. You are such a brave woman and I wanted to tell you so. With much love, Karen
