7-28-09... These huge trusses SUPPORT this bridge [yes, there are more than three]. This is the Sam Hill Memorial Bridge [aka the Biggs Rapids Bridge] it opened in 1962 & spans the Columbia River at Maryhill, WA & Biggs Junction, OR. It was two years in construction & was originally a toll bridge but the toll was lifted in 1975. It was newly "re-decked" at a whopping cost of $16 million, the cost is being split between WA & OR.
