This is sooo cute! That stitching looks really cool! And I love the Jolee's- don't see them used much anymore and I think they are soo cute! Fantastic work!!
LOVE, LOVE this!! I have the same embellies and haven't had any ideas on how to use them... now I do!!! :) How do you get the journaling directly on the 12x12?
I love this layout! It is clean yet perfectly embellished. I love the inking and the picture is definitely one of a heartbreaker. Love the upper corner embellishment! I thought for sure used brads, the stckles look great! going in favs.
I agree with Tishd..oh oh a Yankee fan! Well I won't even tell you who my team is....the A's who are playing sucky ball this year but I love our Giants too and they're doing well..in there with a chance at a wild card. I have those Jolee sets for both teams and have long wondered how to use them. I think I have some inspiration now. This is an awesome layout...I really like it. Love the hat story. Great photo of Will. Great job of "sewing". Cool design and placement of embellisments.
Lori, that stitchwork is just amazing!!! I bet even Will thinks this LO is pretty darn cool!! Great photo of him, and boy, does he ever look like you! Love how you displayed the Jolee's embellishments! I've not seen those before and they are very cute! Don't follow baseball much, but I hope Will's Yankees are having a good season!
Hey Lori!!!! I'm so happy to hear that I could inspire you!!! This is just awesome !! I love the color block style & that bg pp is perfect!!!! Enjoyed reading the jounaling too!!!!
This is brilliant, Lori! I love the way you have spaced your pictures so carefully and beautifully. The stitching looks really good and I love Will's photo and your journaling. A great layout!
Lori, this is soooooo sweet. I just love the photo of Will, he has that "cool" look. The entire LO is so balanced and so reminds me of a base after a couple innings. The distressing is perfect!!! Love the tri-color title and all the embellies in their own fancy matted blocks.
This is the cutest. The stitching is perfect for this theme. Not sure if it's embossed paper or if you made the stitches, but I love the effect and the inked edges. You do such a great job giving boy pages such a strong masculine feel, yet soften just a bit with judicious use of a border punch. So those are embellies that you put in the squares? I would have never thought to do that. Looks terrific. Love the photo. Heartbreaker indeed. Wonderful page.
Wow!! awesome detail!!! I love the baseball stitch border and i really like how you did a square for each little embellie, has a great visual effect! I would have never known those dots were stickles, they are so perfectly shaped!!! very nicely put together LO!!!
Love that photo of Will..love the little red dots..love the stitching!! (Looks great!) and all the cute little embellies too!! You aged that border beautifully Lori and as always, an immaculate lo!!! Love it!!
Yeah me again. I saw you on the main page as a featured artist so I knew you had posted a new LO recently. This is so cute Lori. Love it.I had never seen that particular baseball pp before and I look at a lot of them. Still have baseball pics of my son to do when my room is done (famous last words). Anyway the LO is really cute and yes Jolees little embellies are cute too. I love her embellies! I have quite a huge selection of them to work with when the room is finished.
You did a great job on this. I'm not sure whether the paper came stitched already or whether you stitched on it. Either way, it looks great, and the embellies are soooooo cute!
Love that "stitching"! I have two sons and years of baseball pictures (and my husband was a coach) and I have yet to do even one of them....maybe one of these days....great lo!
I got to tell you - my grandpa was a Yankees fan until the day he died! So right away I was drawn to your page. And having been born in NY, I've always had an attachment to it, even though I've never lived there except when I was very little. but it was always our 'home base' and my sister still lives there and other relatives. HOW did I end up in Missouri....heheh...!!! Love the page!! Love all the 'equipment' and shirt on the side! It's like a poster!! Awesome!
This little heartbreaker is my son, Will. I was working on a wedding LO, got inspired by Hel's (Helbert) wonderful baseball LO's and decided to create one of my own. Thank you, Hel!!
Journaling reads: "Sport, since your favourite baseball team is the NY Yankees, you went through a phase during which you would proudly wear a Yankees hat all the time. You put one on as soon as you woke up and wore it pretty much throughout the entire day. You had about 5 hats in all (some white, some slate blue) but you lost all of them except the one that you are wearing! You even lost one at Disney World. You are priceless, Will!"
I aged the border of the pp and I used my old stash (so proud of myself). The stitches around the pp are raised IRL and look really cool. Little dots on side of photo are stickled.
Cricut - title (George cart) Silhouette - large photo corner Fiskars border punch (diamond) Jolee's dimensional NY Yankees stickers - aren't they so cute! distress inks stickles pp's - Scrappin' Sports and More
