mmm this sounds delish! Love your country charm layout. I need to get back to scrappin more than cards. Cards go so much faster, but you're giving me some fab ideas. Beautiful work!!
That little crab is just toooo cute! LOVE it!!! Great mix of pps - love all the great pics of the food - making me hungry - and it's not even 10 AM! LOL! Love the little crab on the journaling too! SOOOO cute! To my faves!
sooooo.... what time did you say dinner was?? We've done the same thing many times, and it is sooo yummy! (and easy!) Great page showing one of your family traditions!!!
Now that's a perfect southern feast!! My DH was walking by and it caught his attention....he said he loves the idea of a big metal drum full of food ROFL!!! WOnderful page Susan!! (drooling just looking at it!)
Soo soo cute!! Love the crab you made- the googly eyes are too cute!! Those CC papers/embellies were perfect with those pics! And I love how you included the recipe! Awesome work!
This page just pops with fun and love. I really like the yellow pp against the red with the small green accents. Terrific color combo. Great photos. I love a shrimp boil with shrimp, sausage, corn and potatoes. The crab you made is to die for. Utterly cute. Love the touch of doodling on the apron lace border. Into my favs.
What wonderful family get-togethers you have, Susan!!! How clever you are to include the recipe in such an interesting way! Great photos ...if I'm in your neck of the woods during one of these get-togethers, I might just crash your party - just kidding! Perfectly done, as always!!
Wow, the CCricket paper is so cheery and fun. LOve the dotted pps, the crab with eyes is adorable. SO nice to have a big family! We don't even have a third of that number! I like that you included the recipe~ Wonderful page for your family album. xx
Photos from one of our family get togethers - trying to prepare something to feed 30+ people can be a challenge. I used CC - Girl Friday and Early Bird collections. I did this for the August CC challenge. The visible journaling is the recipe I use for the Low Country Boil. The cute red crab is a handmade embellie. I added black highlights and googly eyes. The salt and pepper shakers are cut from the Early Bird tag paper. The little crab stickers are from my stash (couldn't tell you how LONG I've had them! LOL!!) The made with love tag is also from the Early Bird collection. I added some doodling to that tag. Journaling is tucked behind the large pic and reads:
Getting all the family together is something we only do about once or twice a year. Now that you are all married with children, there are almost 30 people when we all get together! These pictures are from our Christmas 2007 get-together. I usually try to prepare a meal that is quick and easy…and something that will feed a lot of people. It helps that each of you tries to bring something to share, too. Our Low Country Boil is always a hit with everyone. I love the fact that everything is cooked in one pot, then we just dump it into our galvanized tubs and we’re ready to eat! Not much too clean up, either…and that’s definitely a plus!
