SHCG: This absolutely rocks! Every little detail is perfect! Love the photos... I'm a car fanatic & I wish I had photos this great from the shows I've been to!
SHCG: So so cool, as soon as I saw this I remembered your yellow/black car lo :) This rocks, love the layering of the photos and the 3 diff pps, the chrome title is great!!!
I am sooo loving what you did with the rockstar stack, and the photo placement! This LO has the grungy rockstar edge we know and love about you, while showing off that awesome car!
shcg: I absolutely LOVE this page Brenda! The colors are awesome for those pictures, as are the embellishments. I love the layering you did. Absolutely FABULOUS!
SHCG - Okay you said on the thread that we can go ahead & critique these even if you haven't put 'em in the LO thread yet. This rocks, Brenda! First off, I love the color scheme, it's what I was kind of envisioning for my own response so I hope you don't mind if I channel you when I scrap mine... you've really inspired me. Second, what a cool lift! Excellent how that original LO sparked this page. Awesome use of that Rock Star stack, love the photo matting, pin-ups bits & embellies. The way the pp is layered makes me think of a stack of records or something. Tres fabulouso scrafting, Swifty!
This is for the SHCG BWC #13-Monochromatic Rotated 90 degrees scrapjack. Well, mine is actually monotone, and I jacked mainly Just Nora's photo placement in her Self Portraits lo.
The pictures of the '69 Chevy Chevelle SS are from an annual local classic car show that we enjoyed last summer. There is no additional journaling because this will be a page in a series for an album I plan to make for this event.
Thanks to Marlene's (scrappygal8), Go Monochromatic BWC last year, I decided the whole album might be monochromatic and I started with a lo on a yellow '55 Chevy Nomad. (Please refer to my gallery.) I've also decided to use recurring motifs and styles including pinup art, two pps and a solid cs, ricrac, staples, road signs, rubons--whenever possible.
The shimmery rainbow paper is actually silver metallic. I ran out of the letter O for chrome so I used a Q and stuck an asterisk over it. The pinup girl is by Al Buell. The rubons were from a birthday stash that MyNitza sent me.
The scan cut off a sliver of the right and left sides of the page.
