After keeping my left hand page very simple I went all out on this page.
I love photos of gates, especially b&w photos of iron gates so this one with my son James entering into the gates at Jackson Square is rather special to me.
I have been itching to do a layout with flowers for ages ( I even spent a couple of days a few weeks back just making flowers for no particular reason at all ( Now I sound like Forrest Gump!!!) Anyway, having only two sons I don't get the opportunity to use many flowers in my layouts and with this photo I thought what the heck and here's the result.
I was trying to portray the "French" flavour of the area and I think flowers can be very "French". I know, it sounds like rubbish but it's my excuse for the femine/male layout and I'm sticking to it!
I also got to use something on this page I haven't used for years...my sons school tin of Derwent pencils. TFL.
