What a fantastic page!!! I can't get over the beauty of everything you incorporated into this wonderful layout!!! I'm interested in knowing how you made the beautiful yellow flower that is fanning out!!! I need to lift that wonderful idea!!!
Vija....girl...you are amazing! WOW...love that gorgeous flower Actually looks like some decadently yummy layers of French pastry fanned out....ready to take a slice! Amazing papers too!!!!
Gorgeous layout! I hear you when you say you don't use flowers because you have 2 boys. I feel the same way too. I see so many pages w/flowers and I just love them! Your page is gorgeous flowers and all!!!
LOVE CI! LOVE Websters!!!!! LOVE gates!!!!!! SO this page is one of my all time favs you've done!! Pretty pencil coloring on the corners too. Really nice!~Like the French title too~
Gorgeous!!! Love the flowers and that moody sky picture! Love the coloring you did with the pencils, too, but how did you superimpose that flower into the photo? Great effect!
WOW! These two pages will be awesome side-by-side! Your flowers are so pretty and I think you really captured the french flavor of New Orleans! Love how you colored the cream paper with the special pencils!!! Looks soooooo amazing! BTW, great job on the title!!
This layout is absolutely stunning! I love the transparent flowers over part of the photo, the attention to detail, and that fab. photo! That yellow flower is gorgeous too, and the button centre with the butterflies on it is so pretty!
After keeping my left hand page very simple I went all out on this page. I love photos of gates, especially b&w photos of iron gates so this one with my son James entering into the gates at Jackson Square is rather special to me. I have been itching to do a layout with flowers for ages ( I even spent a couple of days a few weeks back just making flowers for no particular reason at all ( Now I sound like Forrest Gump!!!) Anyway, having only two sons I don't get the opportunity to use many flowers in my layouts and with this photo I thought what the heck and here's the result. I was trying to portray the "French" flavour of the area and I think flowers can be very "French". I know, it sounds like rubbish but it's my excuse for the femine/male layout and I'm sticking to it! I also got to use something on this page I haven't used for years...my sons school tin of Derwent pencils. TFL.
