8-9-09... In the Pacific Northwest the terrain is very pretty but it can be very rugged & unpredictable. You have to keep your SENSES alert at all times & be prepared for all sorts of dangers; such as, bears, cougars, rattlesnakes, freak snowstorms & flash floods just to mention a few. Many people who visit here let their SENSES get dulled by the beauty of the land & so they underestimate it. By not being prepared you can end up in serious trouble or even lose your life. This photo was taken from my front porch & while it isn't a great shot I hope you can get a sense of what I'm trying to convey. [P8095163]
