This is so pretty.. Really like the inked butterfly.. The picture turned out beautiful.. Love the story attached to it.. What a wonderful memory for your daughter to always know her grandmother will be with her.
touching story and gorgous page. Congrats to you and your family on this wonderful occasion - so glad Grandma could attend. This must mean your daughter is blessed!
Oh this gives me goosebumps! What an amazing story....what a lovely tribute and keepsake! The colors are amazing...the natural light in that tent must have been stunning...as is this creation. Love the beautiful hearts.
Very touching story and an absolutely beautiful LO ! I made a butterfly sympathy card for my cousin when my aunt passed away and he told me that butterflies were her favorite-so that card made me think there was a reason I made it-the universe is a special place! jen
Oh, I got goosebumps from the journaling...yes, I believe those who have passed into another dimension do visit us from time to time...and we know when they do...beautiful lo, adore the butterfly...gorgeous everything!
Omg, this is awesome and brougt tears to my eyes, such a beautiful layout and such wonderful memories for all. Your mother/grandmother is proud. excellant journaling. Such a beautiful photo.
Although the sun doesn't allow for a clear pic of your dd and sil, it sure has an overall stunning impact that is so beautifully enhanced by your gorgeous layout. I have been pondering those perfect pearls, and after seeing your beautiful elements here, I think they are a must! I am so happy you and your dd felt the presence of your mother on this special day. Some day I will have to tell you about the birth of my oldest son. Your journaling is a beautiful as this page and it all combines for a lasting treasure and a fave for me!
Oh, and you know what they say about the best laid plans of mice and men! Turns out Ben's class reunion is this weekend, though don't think I didn't ask when making the plans! LOL! I'm afraid my sons take after their mom in the detail department. We are a haphazard crew! Bryant couldn't get off work, AND we are supposed to experience a 20 degree drop in temp with rain in the valleys and snow above ten thousand feet. No thank you!
This is so beautiful. The butterfly and the hearts and the lovely colors. Love the photo too and the gathering of the tent fabric looks so rich and elegant. Your story is amazing. What a fantastic thing to happen to her.
OMG, Karin, this is absolutely breathtaking, both the amazing photo and the stunning layout!!! I truly LOVE these glorious colours and the fabulous details. And, your wonderful story was so lovely and so touching! Love it all!!!
WOW Karin! What a wonderful, gorgeous photo!!! I can't tell you how much I love your layout - it's beautiful and eye-catching. And your butterfly story brought tears to my eyes!

your story is so touching...thankyou for sharing. The colours you have used are so beautiful, love all your added touches. Wonderful photo..it looks like a beautiful setting for a special day.
This is a photo of the ceremony at my daughter's wedding. It was held under this beautiful tent and just beyond is the Atlantic Ocean. Unfortunately, the day was so bright we could not get a good shot. I inked and painted the butterfly, added the hearts ala my friend Catz, and inked and stickled the letters. There is significance to the butterfly explained on the card hidden behind the photo. I kept a journal for my daughter to chronicle the events from her engagement to her wedding day. I filled two journal books and presented them to her with a Swarvoski crystal starfish on the eve of her marriage. In the journal, I had written that her grandmother, my mom, who had passed away a few years earlier, would be with her on her wedding day. The two adored each other. My mother loved butterflies and so imagine my joy when my daughter came running up to me after her photos on the beach with tears in her eyes. "Mom", she said, "Grandma is here, Two butterflies just landed on me. One flew away but the other stayed by me the whole time!" Here in the Northeast, it is rare to find monarch butterflies on the beach! This page is dedicated to the memory of my mom. TFL!
