You are definitely off to a great start, great pp and pic placement. I agree with Heather, go to the store and find some alpha stickers that you think look good, bring the lo to so you can hold them up against it. You could even place the Welcome above the pics, centered to the page and the Home placed on the pic to the right, only covering the balloon area. Strips I would say are out for the reasons you thought. Hidden or around the edges would work. You could even do partially hidden, having the journaling paper leaning out from behind the pics on the side. ANd I didnt notice anything wrong with joy so I wouldnt worry about it
I think the stitching and the colors you have here are beautiful. For the title, I'm imagining Thickers. Of course that could just be because I adore them. LOL How about Welcome on the line where the orange and beige paper meet. Have the m and e overlap the photo. Then home right underneath it kinda centered. If you're not liking the Cricut titles because they blend in have you tried inking/chalking them? I agree that the journaling would be too long for strips. How about hand journaling around the outer edges of the kraft paper? I hope I helped! I think you're off to a wonderful start!
I love what you have so far. I agree with the hidden journaling, and maybe a flourish of hearts along the left side of the pictures. Or the title going up along the left of the title. If you could find something that goes along with the Joy!
I love what you have so far... can't wait to see what you do:)
very pretty, love the stitching. What if you did a tab behind the photo for hidden journaling? maybe even two, so you could get her thoughts? Don't know what to tell you about the title. I will think tho. Great start, love your paper choices.
I've been staring at this page for far too long and I'm stuck! What you see is already glued down.
I wanted to add a small title that says "welcome home" but I cannot find any stamps I like and I've cut several titles w/ the cricut and haven't liked them either.
for journaling I was going to do strips, but then I realized it would be too long cause I was going to put: this is the day we brought you home from the hospital. Your grandma came home with us and stayed the first week, so I could rest and to help teach us how take care of you since we were new parents. when you were born she was filled with such joy and happiness. you were her first granddaughter, and I don't think she had ever been happier in her life.
any ideas????? please let me know. thanks for looking!
