First of all, I absolutely LOVE!!! this idea. It's the only one I've seen that would tempt me to get rid of all my space-eating boxes of cartridges. BUT, in searching for these (I looked for the 5 1/2 x 8" ones) discovered they cost around $1.60 per envelope (slightly less for bulk). Problem: I have over 100 cartridges. Even putting 2 per envelope, it would still cost me more than $100. So now I'm sitting here at my desk totally bummed!!!
I got a pack of these envelopes at Home Depot today. That's all they had, if I like it, I will go back for more. Now I am trying to figure out a nice sized box to file them in.
I go to the Cricut website and print out the page that shows all the objects on each disk. I put them in page protectors so i can flip through them all at once. This storage idea is great. I am going to use this for my carts and maybe even some of my stamps or ribbon cards.
My boxes were taking up too much space. I keep 2 cartridges/layovers/booklets in each plastic holder. They are 7x11 and zip tightly (Office Depot). I labeled each envelope and have them pointing out so I can see each cartridge at a glace. I use my Cricut more often this way.
