Jeannie...this is beautifyl. Really. I love the story behind it as much as the L/o itself! I like how you make things for your L/O's and don't buy every single thing. Your stuff shows true talent, imagination and a gift for true scrapbooking...as it was intended to be. Inspiration. It's going into my favs.

This is so incredibly cute. Read your description. I like how your mind works-its like mine and you produce awesome LO's so I have some hope for mine LOL (when my scraproom is finished that is). I think I need to lift this. Surely I can come up with some pic worthy of it. Your fence is cute. I like the fences too. You did a great job making it. Going into my faves.

wow, I am always amazed by the things you create! Love that you do so much of your own embellies! The picket fence and grass look awesome! TFS your creative process. Seems like there are some great memories behind this lo!
What a wonderful wonderful heartwarming story. I LOVE your creative process! I love that its a gradual organic thing, and can be suggested by pretty papers or anything else - a cane chair and a heart, for example! The lo is truly beautiful not just for all the prettiness on it, but for all those amazing memories it evokes - it has inspired me to think of all sorts of los I'd love to produce now. HUGE fave!!
Love this lo, Jeanne. The way the gate opens up to the picture is inspired. And where and how you placed the second photo is perfect. Love, love, love this photo.
This is just lovely in every way. So soft and feminine. The pp go together so well and I love the addition of the crocheted doily. The fence is totally adorable and I love the sign, "beware of child," lol. The pics are so precious. Just fantastic. I love everything about this and saw it featured this morning as a favorite on the homepage.
I know I've already commented on this page, but i had to again. As I "snuck" online at work, there it was on the homepage...I clicked on it to see you have 66 comments! Well, now 67! I think this is one of your best...I mean...ALL of your pages are fabulous, but this one takes the cake.....and 66, no 67 comments!
This is soooo cute! I love the pp's and the doily and other lace. Love the grass, fence and duck. The little beware sign is adorable!!!! Cute cute cute!!!!!!
I love everything about this and so appreciate all the detail of your description from how your process works to what you used. Especially enjoyed the journaling!! jen
Wow, love all the depth and layering formation. Remarkable and quite unique. The bird and little duck are perfect. Great job on the fence, beautiful LO.
truly divine, cute lil fotos, esp, the heart shaped one, luv your scollop mount and the lace. fab journalling and the flowers and fence. the whole lo so so special
This lo is typical of how my creative process works. First I loved the rose patterned and polka dot pps together so I taped them down. I had a crocheted doily from Ms I'd been wanting to use and plopped that on top and chalked it a bit....then it all sat around a few days..then I began a photo search..found this one of me as a toddler with my mom in the back yard of our old house...and a layout was born. I made the fences out of chipboard and crackle paint...drew and cut out the grass and the little sign. I've loved all the layouts I've seen with fences and we actually did have a white fence in this yard. The shape of the frame of the cane chair I'm sitting in suggested a heart so out came the scissors. The photos are developed from really old (60 years!!) color slides and they are a bit blurry. Journaling is on the back and talks about our huge old backyard. Dad raced homing pigeons so we had a big old pigeon loft. There were always kids playing and little vinyl swimming pools and swingsets and there was always a dog and sometimes a chicken or a duck. Our banty hen, Matilda, who came to us as an egg from the county fair and was hatched under a light bulb, laid eggs in everyone's yard but ours..people were always bringing us her eggs. Matilda liked to sit on the dog. Ace, the German Shepherd, who once bit the mailman's pants and so was sentenced to the back yard, would just lay in the shade with this little hen perched on his back. All these years later, whenever I drive by that house I get a nice warm fuzzy and still think of it as home.
