Love the sentimental value of this lo! I have not tried making rice krispy treats for my kids.... but I need too! I remember them being a fav of mine as a kid as well!
Oh, I just love this!!! It really takes me back to those old TV and print ads for Rice Krispies!!! Especially loving all the little details...like the X & O border and the stitching and the "Jet Puffed" embellies!!

This is a totally darling page. I love it and the idea of it - of scrapping everyday moments. You were very creative with the pics that didn't include people. Great design, esp the big circle. I love Rice Krispie treats and sometimes add peanut butter too!
This is an awesome page! I love the circle. I love the sentiments that are the basis for this layout! Hopefully one day she will experience the same feeling as you do now! the older look of the pictures goes perfect with everything! Nice work!
This is such a fun page! I really like the hearts made out of the bag and the heads cut out of the cereal box ... little things like that make the LO extra special. Love the XO-border as well!
This is so sweet, and what a great memory to record! My mom used to make those too when we were kids -it took me straight back there! We used to call them krispie cakes!
This I Love !! Great idea for the journaling on that little bag and did you cut out the heads from box? So adorable ! You got me thinking about ideas !
What a fun layout! I love Rice Krispies squares too. My sister-in-law brought some over to a family BBQ at our house recently, and I couldn't wait to eat them. I love the little paper bag you used for your journaling too. You did a little recycling on this layout too, with the hearts and cereal box cut-outs. Yeah! One strip of paper you used there even looks like those old red and white checkered tablecloths!
LOVE THIS!!!! What a great childhhood (or grown-up one too LOL) to have and what a way to carrry it on and make such a sweet keepsake! Love all the cut outs from the Kraft bag! Genius!!!!! xoxoxo, M
WCSG.....you've done such a beautiful job of preserving this lovely family tradition.....I know that Ryan will "pay it forward" with her own children, someday......Love, love, LOVE all your doodling!!! I thought that little sack looked familiar, but I couldn't remember if I sent one to you, or if it was a co-winky-dink!!!! LOL....then I read your list of supply sources! Love the picnic tablecloth pp, too!!!
L*O*V*E the saying, Shawn!! I also love that you've scrapped such a perfect and wonderful memory, one that Ry will cherish in years to come!!! Love how you've designed this also!!
I wanted to document a special childhood memory that I now share with my daughter. I made Rice Krispie treats with my grandmother, and every time my dd and I make them, it takes me back to that old kitchen in Anaheim.
I altered the pics to make them look older. I used; mini paper bag (thanks, asassyscraper!) ink sewing machine red pen for doodling label maker Snap, Crackle and Pop cut from the cereal box hearts cut from Kraft Marshmallow bag Creative Imaginations red circle sticker Bazzill cs
The recipe and my memories of making these with my grandmother is fully journaled on the back. TFL~
