Well, I had a little time to scrapbook this afternoon and decided I'd tackle some of these new pictures of the DGD. It's okay to make a teensy little bit of fun of the big hair bow, right? Guess I'll find out soon enough! Anyway, would you believe that despite 3 DD and 6 DGD, I'm not all that comfortable with pink? I'm an autumn all the way .. give me brown, any shade of brown and I'm good but pink .. I'm a goner. But here is my little Peyton in her pink and green outfit with matching bow .. so what's a granny to do but look through her stash and see what she can come up with. So I found my DCWV Garden Party (the one I was going to return, remember?) and I got down to business. And I used lots of paper. Lots of it! Did a cute little wavy thing on the side with multiple layers, inpsired by a layout I saw on the Basic Grey website (it was REALLY cute) and then triple matted my pictures. I brought in some hand cut butterflies from one of the papers. Then used my CM slot punch to cut some slots to weave my green satin ribbon through. (Thought I needed a big bow to go with my DGDs. Heehee.) Then warmed up my Cricut to cut the title, using GS for look closely and LL for see my hair bow? I'm thinking I need to go back and add the word "pretty" somewhere on the page. Added a little bling to the mats, a crochet butterfly from Leah at Paper Blossoms and some stickles to the paper butterflies. Then it was time to take a picture 'cause the sun was setting. It turned out pretty cute and was actually a pretty easy layout to do. I did have to forego some cute little flowers I was going to use. I burned 'em up ... more on that next time! Enjoy and thanks for looking.
