This is a photo of my husband taken "Back in the day" as my kids would say. I was concerned about the colors looking dull from the digi camera when I uploaded it, but maybe they'll be alright. The photo is a B&W but it has a lot of sepia tones in it. The journaling says it all for this one so, here it is. The quote on the front say, "Those who contemplate the beauty of the earth find reserves of strength that will endure as long as life lasts". - Rachel Carson. The "pull" out tab tucked behind the photo says "Bedford Reservation 1974" on the front and the back says, "Even though this picture was taken years before we met, it is still my favorite photo of you. I see so much of the 'true you' in that river. So peaceful and gentle. Yet even the most gentle river has great strength. It knows its purpose and where it is headed and niether summer sun nor winter ice can deter it from it's intended destination. It keeps its eye on the goal knowing all the while that when it arrives, it will surrender itself to something more grand and glorious than the river itself. Thank you for carrying me safely along your gentle river.
