This is from a 1960's Tonight show where Jerry Lewis did this memorization thing. It is also known as the the Announcers Test. We use it as a way of finding out how attentive people are. My husband memorized it back then and taught it to me. My Niece Heather is the only one that has ever made it as far as No. 9. No one else has ever gotten that far. Basically you ask them to "Repeat after me" and then go through the items where they repeat after each line.
It says:
One hen
Two ducks
Three squawking geese
Four limerick oysters
Five corpulent porpoises
Six pair of Don Alversos tweezers
Seven thousand Macedonians in full battle array
Eight brass monkeys from the ancient sacred crypts of Egypt
Nine apathetic, sympathetic, diabetic, old men on roller skates with a marked propensity towards procrastination and sloth
Ten lyrical, spherical diabolical denizens of the deep who hall stall around the corner of the quo of the quay of the quivery, all at the same time.
