Fall - it can never happen soon enough for us...but we always have to wait until November to really feel/see itís effects. By this time of the year, the
northern part of the country is already getting chilly and seeing leaves turn, and weíre still fighting 90-100 degree weather. But wait for it.....October
comes, and things start to look different. Then one morning, after a chilly night, we wake up to a world
that has exploded in color everywhere you look. Our souls seem to be refreshed somehow, even in that beautiful death. We love this time of year. Itís the beginning of the holiday season for us - a chance to decorate with pumpkins and scarecrows and leaves, to revel in the glow of the warmth of color and snuggle in the chill of the air. Itís the promise of the holidays approaching, of Thanksgiving, birthdays and
the celebration of the Christ. Itís a promise of things.... so much different than the promise of life in the spring - perhaps itís the promise in the beauty that awaits us in our passing....when Heaven will be even more beautiful.
