(Just) Born in the USA

Journaling reads: "Hyla was only 27 days old for her first 4th of July. We spent most of the day at home, and then later, when it cooled off a little, we went to Moonlight to listen to the patriotic music, watch the fireworks, and hang out with Justin a little bit. This was one of Hyla's first outings, and it felt soooo good to get out of the house! Hyla had to have a special outfit to wear for the occasion, of course - I had seen this dress at Carter's months before she was born & just couldn't resist buying it! Hyla was such a trooper the whole day (just like she always is). Not even the fireworks, or the musical stylings of 4th of July mainstay Dr. Feelgood, could faze her!"
