That's so cool that they sent you a postcard and you shredded it lol I love the purple matching and the yellow adds a great POP...rick rack is cute! I love where you placed your pictures and the steps of it. Great LO D!!
Wow! That's such a great thing that you did!
Your lo is very pretty -- love the purple and the "squiggly" ric-rac you used on the 2 top pics - nice touch!
This is so cool. My little girl donated her hair to locks of love 2 years ago when we found out my dad, her papa, had cancer. I was so proud of her. Unfortunately I didn't get any pictures because she decided to do it after we got to the hair dresser. She has the memory though, and so do I...This layout is definitely going into faves and I cannot wait to show my daughter...
What a generous and loving act to donate your beautiful hair! As your verse says, I know it was done with great love and will be a blessing to a deserving person. BTW, your new 'do looks gorgeous! Loving all the purple in this LO and the cool techniques you used! God bless you for this gift you've given!
WOW~this is too cool! I love your take on the week 1 sketch~very clever title design. The distressing looks great & luv that you included the postcard! I can no longer donate to locks of love since my hair has been dyed several times, but did a few times when I was younger. It's a wonderful thing you did! : ]
Love the title, very unique technique and it works. Looks very cool. love the color PP and the scriptures used. What a blessing that will be to someone very special in God's eyes!!!!
Oh I love this!!! I love all the purples!!! I, too, have given hair to Locks of Love and I think it is just wonderful!!!! You did a great job twice over! First for donating your hair and second for this beautiful LO!
i donated 10 1/2 inches of hair to locks of love and they sent me that cool thank u postcard, which i "shred" up and pasted back down. i distressed my edges and used a silver and brown metallic pen to outline some of the design on the purple paper background. the ribbon is from joanns and the title is from chipboard. i smudged the dots on the letters "l" and "k" so i made it look on purpose and kept adding to that effect. the "ove" in love is handdrawn and since i didnt feel like bringin out my embossing powders i used tacky glue to highlight my "ove" it looks glossy and raised now! great technique! under the 09 in the circle says, "do everything in love" 1cor 16:18
